How do I access the Wi-Fi network?

As long as you have a Wi-Fi enabled device, you can use the VCBIA Wi-Fi network. Here’s what you do:

  1. Switch on your device and launch Wi-Fi
  2. Choose the network VCBIA Wi-Fi
  3. Open an internet browser
  4. Choose whether you want to use the service for free or pay for it
  5. Complete the registration details and check your agreement to the terms and conditions
  6. Use the internet in the way that you normally do with your device.

What equipment do I need?

You need a Wi-Fi enabled device such as a smart phone, laptop or tablet.

Do I have to register?

Yes.

When do my free minutes start and end?

Your free minutes start once you’ve registered and they run continuously after that. At the end of your 15 free minutes, you have the option of paying for additional time.

What is the cost of the paid Wi-Fi service?

How do I pay for additional Wi-Fi use?

You can pay using your credit card. Join the network in the usual way and follow onscreen instructions. You will be directed to a third party site, and subject to their terms and conditions. Payment is secure.

Can I get a receipt for my payment?

If you pay for Wi-Fi use, we’ll send a receipt automatically by email to the address you supplied.

Can I use my Wi-Fi access code more than once?

During the period for which you have paid, you may connect to the Wi-Fi network on the number of devices specified on the plan you purchased. The code expires at the end of your paid period.

How do I get access after I made a purchase?

Once a successful purchase is made from a device, that device will automatically gain access to the Wi-Fi network until the purchased time expirers. This device will always be the first device on the plan.

How do I gain access on the “Other Devices” after I have made a multi-device purchase?

If your plan includes additional devices, then you should enter the 5-character “Access Code” in the text box on the additional device(s) and click on the “Submit Access Code” button. Once a code is used on an additional device, that device is also enabled until the originally purchased time expires.

Can I switch devices during my allotted time?

No. You cannot change devices once an “Access Code” is entered on a device.

Can I get a refund if I am not satisfied with the Wi-Fi service?

All purchases are final, refunds will not be provided.

How secure is VCBIA’s Wi-Fi?

Although APUA Telecoms has taken all commercially reasonable steps to provide a secure system, within limitations imposed by network and computer infrastructure, APUA Telecoms does not guarantee that communication over their network shall be secure from monitoring or tampering, nor that information stored on any computer connected to the network shall be secure from monitoring or tampering. You should use the same precautions recommended when regularly connecting to a Wi-Fi network, i.e., turn on anti-virus protection, use a personal firewall, and disable file sharing. It is best not to transmit any sensitive data you wouldn't want someone else to see.
